THOUGH IT’S BEEN around for 20 years, Sleek Makeup has come into its own only recently.
It’s a favourite of beauty bloggers worldwide, but with such a huge range of products, where do you begin? Let us help.
1. i-Divine Eyeshadow Palette in Au Naturel, €11.49
Sleek has a TON of different eyeshadow palettes, as well as new limited edition ones that pop up every year – the selection and great price means they’re a great choice for eyeshadow beginners.
This one is full of lovely basic shades in matte and shimmer finishes, from taupe to plum.
2. Brow Kit, €11.99
This little kit comes in five shades and contains a brow shaping wax and a brow powder – a pretty much perfect dupe for Benefit’s €35 Brown Zings. It also contains two brushes and a teeny-tiny tweezers to make on-the-go touch ups a doddle.
3. Matte Me Lip Cream in Shabby Chic, €6.99
Want a nice nude liquid lipstick without forking over €30+ for a Kylie Lip Kit? The Sleek Matte Me lipsticks are a great option – they’re drying, as liquid lipsticks can be, but prep with a balm first and you should be A-OK.
Shabby Chic is a dusky mauve that isn’t too far away from Ms Jenner’s Posie K.
4. Face Form, €14.49
This has your blush, bronzer, and highlighter all in one, so a great multi-use option for the gal who likes to lug around her makeup bag all day. It also comes in a variety of skin tones – fair, light, medium and dark.
5. Matte Me Lip Cream in Birthday Suit, €6.99
Where Shabby Chic is more of a dusky mauve, Birthday Suit is a brown-toned pink. Like its sister, it is also a dupe for a Kylie Lip Kit – Candy K. Don’t say we never saved you money.
6. Cream Contour Kit (€13.99)
For when you want to get serious about your contouring. This kit contains six shades – two for highlighting, one for concealing, and three contouring shades. A good choice for someone just starting their makeup collection.
7. Solstice Highlighting Palette, €14.49
This is an unusual highlighter palette as it contains one cream highlighter and three powders – we’re particularly fond of that amazing lavender shade, which is great on cooler skin tones.
Tip: Apply the powder over the cream for a glow that can be seen from space.
8. Blush in Rose Gold, €5.99
Psst – this is a dupe for Nars’ cult favourite Orgasm blush, which is five times the price. Go get it.
9. i-Divine Eyeshadow Palette in Storm (€11.49)
Similar to the Au Naturel palette, this contains a mix of mattes and shimmers – this one gets a bit more dramatic with deep greens and navys. Very nice.
10. True Colour Lipstick in Russian Roulette, €6.99
Because every girl needs a fabulous deep, matte red. As the name would suggest, it’s a convincing dupe for Mac’s Russian Red, and at that price, we know which one we’d pick…
